Overview – Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels

Goal: For students to learn about working with active yeast, and using a two step process of boiling and baking the pretzels, be executing the recipe, Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels. 

How: Students will learn why active yeast is an important ingredient for this recipe. Students will also work on “kneading” dough before forming it into a fun pretzel shape, followed by a two-step cooking process; boiling first, then baking in the oven. To finish things off students will top with a sweet sugary coating.
