A Note from our Founder, Anna Reeves

Dear Parents and Kids,

As an experienced elementary school teacher, I have always enjoyed working alongside children.  Having a passion for cooking as well, I have combined my two favorite things: teaching and cooking. Teaching kids to cook is a natural and innovative way for me to experience the best of both worlds.  As a kid, I enjoyed baking for my family in my free time.  I felt a real sense of accomplishment each time I was able to bake and share a recipe from scratch.

My interest in children led me to pursue a career in education.  I have earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from College of Saint Rose, and a M.S. in Reading and Literacy from Walden University.  I frequently participate in local cooking classes, and enjoy cooking and baking for my friends and family.

Tiny Chefs guarantees well-organized cooking events for kids. Based out of Washington, D.C. Tiny Chefs has sparked the interest of many children and parents in D.C, Maryland and Virginia.

Our philosophy, “learning through cooking,” encourages children to discover the joys of cooking while obtaining basic educational skills and culinary techniques.  Our instructors teach kids to follow recipes, measure and combine ingredients, and work together on a team all while promoting personal creativity.  We strive to instill health-conscious values in kids along with the confidence to experiment with their own creations in the future.  I look forward to meeting you and your child in the kitchen soon!

Sincerely,

Anna Reeves
